About

Oblivion Remastered Character Creator, also known as the Oblivion Abominations or Oblivion Remaster Character Creations, refers to memes and jokes about the character creator tool in the RPG video game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Originally released in 2006 by Bethesda, the game was remastered by Virtuos and relaunched on April 22nd, 2025, featuring upgraded graphics via Unreal Engine 5. The remaster retained the original's character customization system, allowing players to craft exaggerated and grotesque avatars but with updated graphics quality. This led to a viral trend in which users shared their creations across platforms like Reddit's /r/OblivionAbominations, X / Twitter and TikTok, often drawing comparisons to the original Fallout talking heads and spawning memes about Rare J.D. Vances.
