They would much rather take down ways people can actually consume their manga even if they have abandoned it rather than put in effort to make it more accessible. X

According to mod posts in the forum, they were nailed by a gigantic DMCA request. XuN also posted on it, and 100 Girlfriends was one of the ones that got hit. Edit May 15th: Looks like is more than 700+, got a rumor of an INSANE number of mangas nuked from the site. And when I say INSANE, it is INSANE. We will know when they make an official statement but the number will leave you in disbelief. EDIT: I was debating if doing this or not, but f--- it, got some rumors from a trusted source and close to 25% of the total chapters in the site are gone. 800 is just the tip of the iceberg. Fly high Mangadex. Even more edits: rumor has it that the culprit of the DMCA is none other than kakao (f--- kakao) who convinced the big fish of the JP publishers to form an alliance and f--- everyone with a DMCA takedown request. The chapter listings (a v3 feature where you can see the chapter but can't access the images) will return asap with the unavailable v3 feature. So for the users that use chapter read markers for tracking (please don't), don't worry your markers will return.
